For Trish Sturman - A Letter
March 2004

Trish,

I created this site hoping that someday you might do a Google search on your own name and end up here.

Over the years, I've lost track of your phone number and email address as well as all the friends we had in common. I have no other way of contacting you.

First, let me apologize for so suddenly dropping all my communication with everyone, and especially you. You were always a good friend and one I cared for deeply. You deserved more from me.

Second, the reason for this site:

I have photographs that belong to you and I want to return them. They are not photos I had taken. These are personal photos of family and friends that you had asked me to colorize or restored. I know these images are important to you and it must be hurtful for you to wonder if they may be gone forever.

They were in one of my filing cabinets along with some of the prints I had made from the hundreds of photographs I had taken of you over the years. I had taped up that cabinet and put it on the moving truck without going through its contents . Had I looked through the files before I left, I would have found your photographs and returned them to you then.

Now, four years later, I recently went through those files and found them.

And so, I've created this website. And with any luck you or someone you know will come upon it and I'll be able to get your photographs back to you. I've included an email form so you can let me know where to send them.

Please include in your reply some bit of personal information that will assure me that the email is actually from you.

Who knows how many years will go by until you find this page or even if you ever will. I am hoping that you will find it and I'll maintain this site until you do.

Mark
